It is the policy of The Impact Movement that each staff member develop a team of ministry partners to support his/her ministry. Impact’s salary structure is based on need, not on a position of leadership. All staff members, including our president, Jimmy McGee, work under the same financial policies and pay scale. In order to keep our staff free from financial distractions and focused on our mission, our salary structure promotes a moderate lifestyle, longevity in ministry, and individual freedom and responsibility for staff.
Each staff member starts with a base salary, which is then increased based on age, the size of family, geographic location, and tenure to arrive at a maximum salary. Within the United States, adjustments are also made for areas with a higher cost of living. Staff members may then request their salary to be any amount between the minimum required salary and the maximum amount. Additional salary may be requested for special needs like the purchase of a car or college tuition for children.
In addition to salary, staff members can also reimburse ministry expenses. Including:
- Expenses of moving to a new location
- Mileage and per diem for travel to conferences, summer assignments, and other ministry-related trips
- Costs in communicating with ministry partners
- Materials needed for ministry
- A computer and all related expenses including internet service
- Conferences and summer assignments
Staff members raise their support to cover salaries, Social Security, benefits, ministry expenses, and administrative overhead. The following are examples for staff members and fellows in three different stages of life.
Annual Staff & Fellow Salaries:
- Single: $23,000-$30,000
- Family without Children: $35,000-$50,000
- Family with Two Children: $45,000-$60,000
Overall Monthly Support to be Raised:
(The salaries in these examples are based upon the minimum salaries from the above chart.)
|Single||Family w/o Children||Family w/ 2 Children|
|Monthly Support Goal||$2406||$4381||$5618|
