It is the policy of The Impact Movement that each staff member develop a team of ministry partners to support his/her ministry. Impact’s salary structure is based on need, not on a position of leadership. All staff members, including our president, Charles Gilmer, work under the same financial policies and pay scale. In order to keep our staff free from financial distractions and focused on our mission, our salary structure promotes a moderate lifestyle, longevity in ministry, and individual freedom and responsibility for staff.
Each staff member starts with a base salary, which is then increased based on age, the size of family, geographic location, and tenure to arrive at a maximum salary. Within the United States, adjustments are also made for areas with a higher cost of living. Staff members may then request their salary to be any amount between the minimum required salary and the maximum amount. Additional salary may be requested for special needs like the purchase of a car or college tuition for children.
In addition to salary, staff members can also reimburse ministry expenses. Including:

Benefits
Our staff members are our greatest asset, and we want to make sure that they are cared for well. For that reason, we provide the following benefits:
Impact provides and manages a full benefits package:
· Group medical and dental plan
· Retirement (401K, Pension, etc.) Not available for Fellows.
· Group Life Insurance
· Disability Income
· Worker’s Compensation
· Vacation / Holidays
Comprehensive Medical and Dental:
Our medical benefits are managed by Great West Care. Its provider network offers a large selection of hospitals and physicians across the United States. While you are not required to use a physician in the network, your benefits are better if you do so.
Some examples of expenses that are covered in our plan are prescription drugs, dental care, chiropractic visits, infertility testing and treatment, and counseling visits. Vision benefits are also offered. There is also complete coverage of routine heath care for up to $200 per person per year.
Retirement (For Staff Only):
Impact maintains a pension plan in order to provide some financial security to employees during their later years. In addition, we have a voluntary 401K plan to enable staff to further invest and save for the future in a tax-advantageous way. We currently have eight funds to choose from. Staff members may also choose to self-direct their 401K account to an outside company.
Group Life Insurance:
A generous basic life insurance program is offered for staff members at various stages of life. Our basic life insurance provides $50,000 for singles, $100,000 each for couples without dependents, and $250,000 each for couples with dependents.
Disability Income & Worker’s Compensation:
Impact also provides Long-Term Disability and Worker’s Compensation in the event of a job-related injury.
Vacation / Holidays:
Each staff member receives two weeks of vacation a year once they report to their ministry location. Additional weeks of vacation are also added with tenure. The organization recognizes eight paid holidays per year.
